Doomlore
I think this is the best place to put this.
I just want people to know that Doomlore is active again. There are quite a few number of runners active. Sometimes more runners than people needing runs.
Even CoF is being run again. Why pay 5-7k for Diessa Chalices or Rin Relics when you can join in a run and gather it yourself. (And no I am not a CoF runner).
All I want to see is GW restored to it's former glory. Yes it will take time because at the moment it's a catch 22 situation... people leave because there are no runners, runners leave because there are no people.
So come and enjoy the fun and glory that once was Doomlore AM 1

I'm going to politely disagree and say that Doomlore AD1 was not the glory days of GW.

That was half the reason why doomlore died. Because dungeon running lost it's profitability. With a greater amount of runners and less amount of people requiring runs, it just wasn't worth it. You'd spend a decent amount of time spamming to try get to 8/8, and you'd be lucky to reach 6/8. Basically, the 7 hero update and the introduction of the popular dungeon running youtube channels destroyed dungeon running.

Why the hell would people run a piss easy dungeon like CoF?
I waltz through it HM on various toons often, and remember NM is just as effective for drops like chalices anyway.

Dungeon running died the day Anet nerfed smites. People stopped running because of the 600/smite issue.
I did not say Doomlore was the glory of GW. I said it had glory.
And people want CoF runs for Dwarven points and chalices/rins.
This is not a QQ thread.... it is inviting people that loved Doomlore back to Doomlore, instead of having to post here that they need dungeon runners.

Something not mentioned yet is the fact that ( i think ) all dungeons can be self run - theres plenty of builds and now we have 7 hero ... well would you pay someone or actually do with 7h and save money ?
Also as theres dungeon sc`s ppl will also migrate into those but for some of us who have done xxx dungeon many times before a runner means we can relax rather than redo ( yes we can be very lazy ).

Yes the glory days, when people who didn't roll SF sins or 600/Smite combos paid other people to fill their books for them.
Reason #6428 SF should have been nerfed sooner. 600/smite took some coordination (I saw some botched runs that made me laugh). but it needed some knocking down as well.
Running was fine when you meant "run me to Drok's, or run to Rata Sum". It should have never meant "take your ridiculously overpowered, God-Mode and haul my lazy but through areas I can't beat with H/h because my guild hates me.

I miss the 600/Smite days. It was fun to go out and vanquish kurz/lux zones for faction points. Maxed both in less than a month and made a lot of gold doing it.
I agree with chuckles79 in that running should me running to another location, not through a rather simple dungeon. Don't even get me started on SF sins.

The niche of 600/smite was that everyone could chill, watch mobs drop and just talk and have a good time. I sometimes try to recreate that by tanking pug runs through various dungeons, but it isn't the same. I'm afraid that won't come back, which sometimes dissappoints me.

I really enjoyed CoF runs, paid 2k, made 1.5k from quest reward. Got rubies, sapphires, rin relics, chalices, lps, golds. Helped a lot when vanguard was harder to farm. It was fun just goofing around and talking to people, really relaxed and profitable.

This ^
It was actually a lot of fun getting drunk and chatting it up while cruising through a dungeon. 600/smite CoF was basically self-limiting as far as this sort of thing goes. Lots of runners kept the prices down which in turn kept the overall number in check. Drops eventually devalued to the point where it was just for fun and something you could always do if you were bored rather than to make a mountain of braces/ecto.
